Born in Leicester, Tim became a Professional Artist in 2000. Since the launch of his career he has won numerous Art Awards and was short listed from 12,000 entrants for the first Daily Mail "Not the Turner" prize. His pastel "Pink Hydrangeas" has subsequently been displayed at the Mall Galleries in London. Tim's work is displayed in public, private and corporate institutions throughout the world.
John, born in Nottingham in 1969, is a professional water colour artist with no formal art training. Success came quickly for John - his work was likened to Edward Seago (1920 - 1974). He has exhibited at the Royal Watercolour Society, has also won first prize at Nottingham Society of Art 2006. John exhibits in a selection of galleries throughout the UK.
Jenni is a Warwickshire based Botanical Artist who runs her own painting workshops and weekends in Warwickshire and Derbyshire
Inspired by the diversity of shape and form of plants - the evening with us will be an "Introduction to Botanical Painting".
Rosemary is a versatile professional artist, finding interest in almost everything, although mountain landscapes and wildlife are her prefered subjects.
An experienced art tutor and demonstrator, she also runs courses and workshops for adults from her studio in Stafford.
Rosemary also writes for Art Journals with articles in "Leisure Painter" and "Art of England". She has recently been elected a member of Landscapes Artists International.
Liz is a professional Artist and Art tutor, specialising in watercolour and pencil drawing. She trained as a Graphic Designer in the late 1980's but got more involved with illustration and art work rather then design projects.
Liz also runs a successful Art club in Nottingham with one day workshops. Her approach to teaching is relaxed and informal. This will be the second visit for Liz to our Society.
Ann, who has sketched and painted since the age of six, now teaches and paints in all media. She likes to paint the quiet corners of the countryside but is equally drawn to portraiture and birds of prey. Her style can be traditional to abstract.
Having had a one woman show, she has collections in this country, South Africa, Germany and the USA. She is a fellow of the Royal Society of Artists and lectures in Fine Art.
A warm welcome back. David's demonstrations are always popular with our Society. Born in Hertfordshire, he grew up on the outskirts of a town where he developed a love of natural history and the countryside.
David is a professional member of the "SAA". He has had exhibitions at the Royal Watercolour Society, The Mall, London also the Wildlife Art Society and "Christies".
This will be Jan's second demonstration for us. Jan has been teaching art from her studio in Warwickshire for 10 years. She learned to paint in the USA at the Silvermine Guild of Artists where the watercolourist Charles Reid taught.
Equally comfortable in any medium, she tries to capture the mood in her work. She does this by using light and colour to enhance the subject. Jan does enjoy incorporating people into her work.
Jayne is a certified instructor in the "Bob Ross" technique of wet on wet oil painting, with over 5 years experience in teaching this fascinating painting style.
Jayne says that teaching the Bob Ross way is very rewarding. Her students are truly amazed at their achievements when attending one of her workshops.
Everyone knows and admires Geoff's work and his demonstrations are always popular. He lives and works from his studio between Matlock and Bakewell in the heart of the Derbyshire Dales.
He has written a number of books to date and created quite a few DVD's. All are very informative and more information can be found on his website
